In August we took a group of four hard working Alpha Mama's to the beautiful Foxhill Manor for the ultimate 24hr retreat in the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. On arrival we were met by the hugely friendly and accommodating Foxhill staff who had lined up a beautiful spread of tea and drinks with scones and freshly made jam.
Our guests Alex Stedman
, Anneli Bush
, Ashley Wilson
and Harriet Stewart
were then all treated to a personal appointment with London's top reflexologist Maria Pecoff
. Baths were then run, dressing gowns and slippers were swiftly put on as everyone relaxed into the Foxhill spirit. Epitomising the home-from-home atmosphere, the kitchen was a central hub for guests who are welcome at any time of the day to chat through the local and seasonal ingredients on offer and any particular foodie desires with head chef, Richard Thorpe. We were also invited to dine wherever we wished, from breakfast in bed or lunch in the lounge to tea on the terrace or bubbles in the bath.
The amazing staff and chefs put on the most delicious barbecue for us (accommodating all dietary requirements) and our gorgeous guests joined us all dressed in PAMPELONE for a lovely summer evening!
Foxhill Manor is an intimate eight-key manor hotel on the Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds, which sits alongside sister properties, Dormy House and The Fish. Originally a private house, it retains the heartfelt personal service and easy-going atmosphere of a home and forgoes many more traditional elements to embody the ‘anti-hotel’ experience.
Drawing on the owner’s Danish heritage, each of Foxhill’s Scandi-chic bedrooms and suites has been individually designed by Trevillion Interiors with styling by Hannah Lohan Design, and feature neutral colours alongside contemporary and antique pieces and original art. The five bedrooms range from Willow, echoing the cosiness of a country cottage, to the vast Chestnut, with triple aspect windows which see the room flooded with light each morning. Three further suites showcase freestanding bathtubs, king-sized beds, fireside lounges and bespoke designer furniture.
One of our guests bedrooms complete with Hampers full of gifts for our Alpha Mama's and their bubba's.
When cravings hit, guests can raid the pantry stocked with complementary goodies, available at any hour of day or night.
